About Fonds Sluyterman van Loo

Fonds Sluyterman van Loo is a charitable institution that promotes the enjoyment of life for the elderly by funding arts and connection initiatives in the Netherlands. Fonds Sluyterman van Loo believes that creative development and connection give meaning and purpose to the lives of the elderly. The fund is based in Beverwijk, in a national monument at the Akerendam country estate. Besides the fund, we are tasked with maintaining this country estate. We also organise regular cultural events for the elderly at this country estate.

Fund Sluyterman van Loo funds initiatives for the elderly, such as meetings, dialogues, educational activities, and activities aimed at practising art. Anyone with an idea or initiative that matches our objectives can apply. The fund uses the return on its capital to realise its objectives.

The organisation consists of a number of employees who do the fund’s work and manage the country estate. The Board of Regents forms the board of Fonds Sluyterman van Loo. Read more about how Fonds Sluyterman van Loo came into being in 1916 and more on its website.
