Apollo Healthcare Property Fund welcomes Towers Watson Euro Secure Income Fund

The team of Hartelt is proud to announce that the Apollo Healthcare Property Fund has realized a significant expansion of its capital by welcoming Towers Watson Euro Secure Income Fund (ESIF).

Ed Hails, Portfolio Manager ESIF:
“We are delighted to partner with Hartelt Fund Management to invest into the Apollo Healthcare Property Fund. Our partnership will provide ESIF’s investors with a new and diversifying source of inflation-linked income, helping them achieve their investment objectives whilst delivering tangible societal benefits to the local communities of the assets owned by Apollo.”

The Apollo Healthcare Property Fund has a compelling investment strategy based on strong underlying demographic trends. The Fund provides investors with secure, inflation-linked cashflows with a limited risk profile due to long term leases and a favourable supply-demand ratio. The current environment with COVID stresses the importance of high-quality care facilities and nursing homes even more. The properties in the Fund provide and support an infrastructure that benefit residents and care providers. With the participation of ESIF, we will be able to contribute to the rising demand and support the healthcare market by investing in new healthcare facilities.

Victor Gulickx, Fund Director Apollo Healthcare Property Fund:
“We are very pleased to have ESIF aboard as new long-term investor in our Fund. They underwrite the Funds’ vision and its strategy: a core investment with a stable, inflationindexed return that is enhanced by the positive social impact of the investments”.

Ambition
The Apollo Healthcare Property Fund aims to expand its investor base further and to grow its healthcare property portfolio to € 500 million, offering investors a combination of an attractive financial return with a positive social impact.

About Towers Watson Euro Secure Income Fund (ESIF)
ESIF is designed to help Euro-denominated pension funds access secure income assets and is available to investors in Europe and elsewhere. It allocates its investments across Europe, principally focusing on the Netherlands, Germany, Ireland, France and Spain. ESIF invests across low risk, cash generative strategies in infrastructure, real estate and real asset debt through funds, joint ventures, co-investments, secondary deals and more. As a key way to reduce risk over the long term, the investment team identifies opportunities which will make a demonstrable positive societal and environmental impact alongside strong financial returns, such as social housing, renewable energy and critical social infrastructure, which all feature in the fund.
