Completion of Nursing home Mauritshof in Rijssen
The Mauritshof residential care complex in Rijssen was completed in mid-May. The property has 33 apartments for residents with a mental and/or physical condition. The lease agreement with care provider Baalderborg Group started with an initial term of 20 years. The residential care building was built on the former school site, Prins Mauritsschool, in Rijssen. The property will also include a day care area that can be accessed from the living area and from the outside. Furthermore, there are two common living rooms per floor with a kitchen. Here, the clients can have lunch and diner together, drink coffee, watch TV, play games or just have a chat. Over the coming period, residents from other locations will move into Mauritshof. What is unique about the project is the involvement of the (future) residents. Even at an early stage, residents (together with their parents and/or other family members) were able to contribute ideas about the project. Among other things, this resulted in residents being allowed to choose the apartment and its finishes themselves. Finally, the property is very suatainable and has a A+++ energy label.
